About Us
Educators First Foundation is a 501 (c) 3 dedicated to improving the lives of education employees. For our current mission, that will focus on teachers.
We feel it is essential to give teachers the resources they need to do the job. At the top of the list is Teacher Mentoring. Other resources could include: personnel, supplies, support, knowledge, a strong salary structure, time to plan, rationally sized classes.
With high attrition rates and limited compensation, it is imperative to match the beginning teacher with the experienced teacher. Our goal is to partner the mentee with a best practices expert to help instill the confidence needed to continue teaching.
The foundation believes it is essential to inform employees, parents, and all stakeholders about the significant impact that teachers have on the daily lives of students. In the past, the parent organization of the Foundation has carried legislation to provide planning time for teachers, fought for salary increases for all educators, supported the Grade Integrity Act to prevent educators from being forced to change grades, and helped repair the broken evaluation system.
